Wyoming Range – Bottom Of The 9th

Friday, March 11 is the deadline for comments about the planned PXP gas drilling development in the Upper Hoback. I’ve been advocating here for protection of this special place since I launched the blog in October and have shared images with the Wyoming Outdoor Council, The Wilderness Society, and Citizens For The Wyoming Range.

If you’ve watched the video and still wonder why this place matters, just answer a simple question: Is it acceptable to drill (on an industrial scale) in Yellowstone? It’s your land, and if it’s taken, it’s gone for good. Simple. So just go to the Citizens For The Wyoming Range site and send one of the sample letters to Jacqueline Buchanan, Supervisor of the Bridger Teton National Forest. The letters and link are all there – add your name to the record number of comments protesting a plan to destroy a place that’s too special to drill. Thank you.

    1. Thanks for sending a comment, Jack! The decision NOT to drill Yellowstone is one that should bring all of us together. I’ll admit that for a long time I didn’t know anything about the Wyoming Range; but it’s Yellowstone… imagine if it were in the National Park boundary. Folks from all over the world would be fired up!
